I had a year's notice on this cake. My friend Betsy's daughter asked me to make her birthday cake about a year ago. Good thing I knew in advance - I used the opportunity to make my first fondant figure, I think it turned out pretty good. I hope the birthday girl agrees!
The cake is strawberry with buttercream icing and royal icing details. The figure is fondant with royal icing details.
