A good friend of mine passed away from breast cancer a little less than a year ago. The Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" was held in my city this past weekend and it made me think of Jen. One of these years I will participate in the race, but this year I just made cookies instead.
As always, the colors and text are customizable.
The first breast cancer awareness stamp in the U.S., featuring a pink ribbon, was issued 1996. As it did not sell well, a new stamp with an emphasis on research was designed. The new stamp does not feature the pink ribbon.
